I don't really have much background to this piece other than wanting to draw a fun, body horror inspired snail piece! lol
The Junji Ito inspiration was strong with this one, and I debated forever over keeping the snail eyes since I felt they were too "silly" for the artwork, but really the whimsy is what completes the artwork I think.
